My extensive background includes hands-on experience in contract mining, operational management, continuous improvement, health and safety, finance, commercial management, and contractual management, among others. As a pioneer of Relationship/Alliance contracting in the mining sector, I've successfully implemented this approach in six major projects across various countries, working with resources such as iron ore, coal, gold, and nickel.
In addition to my mining expertise, I possess a solid foundation in software development, with a focus on mining database solutions. My 40 years of experience spans web and desktop application development, database design, software training, systems implementation, and software support. I am proficient in a range of technologies, including AwareIM, UniPaas, MS-SQL, MySQL, MariaDB, PSQL, and Btrieve.
My software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions cover a wide array of applications, such as HR management, mining safety, and contract management. I have also developed bespoke solutions for industries beyond mining, including asset management, rail and road logistics, warehouse stocking, pool maintenance, and wine sales management.
